26/07/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission started an accelerated examination of its decision instituting, under the ECSC Treaty a definitive compensation duty on imports of certain flat steel or iron non alloy laminated products originating in India. In fact two companies have called to benefit from a more individual duty. They pointed out, supported with proof, that they did not start exporting towards the Community or considered to do so, until after the implementation of these EU anti-subsidy measures, noted the examination opening opinion published in the official Journal N° C/201.
