The Netherlands wants to reduce European aid to the audiovisual sector - Special meeting of Council Culture, on 26 September

Lille, 24/07/2000 (Agence Europe) - Very behind in relation to its European partners, the Netherlands pleaded on Friday of a substantial cut in the Community budget devoted to the audiovisual sector. At the informal meeting in Lille, EU culture ministers for the first time broached the question of the financing of the aid programme to the European audiovisual industry, "Media Plus", for the next five years.
