Commission clears joint control of Stream by Telecom Italia and News Television

Brussels, 03/07/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission will give the go-ahead to the joint takeover of the Italian pay-television operator Stream by the Italian telecommunications company Telecom Italia and by News Television, a company notably active in the fields of media, production and distribution of films and television entertainment. The operation results from an increase in participation to 50% each by the two partners in Stream following a capital increase and the withdrawal...
