Green Light for joint acquisition by investment companies in Russian telecoms by Telia and Commerzbank

Brussels, 28/04/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission authorised the Swedish state company Telia and the German bank Commerzbank AG to take joint control of OAO Telecominvest (TCI) and its holding First National Holding (FNH), two investment companies respectively in Russia and Luxembourg. The two companies, presently exclusively held by Commerzbank, make investments in telecommunications in Russia. The European competition services noted that the transaction would not lead to any...
