ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) telecommunications

The Italian firm EDISON (energy and services), subsidiary of MONTEDISON, has announced that it has entered the telecommunications sector with the creation of a subsidiary called EDISONTEL. With a starting capital of 15 million euro, it will deploy an optical fiber infrastructure along the aqueducts of the EDISON group with a view to proposing broad band telecommunications services.
