Commission to examine merger of truck activities of Volvo/Renault as soon as plan is notified

Brussels, 25/04/2000 (Agence Europe) - The services of the European Commission have had informal "pre-notification" contacts with the Swedish automobile manufacturer Volvo and France's Renault, just before the announcement of the merger of their activities in the truck sector, the Commission's spokesperson confirmed on Tuesday.
