ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) ultrasound

AGFA will be buying from EMERSON ELECTRIC CO (United States) the worldwide activities of KRAUTKRÄMER, active in the production and distribution of ultrasound equipment used to conduct non-destructive tests of various materials, particularly metals. With plants in Germany and the United States, KRAUTKRÄMER had turnover of more than EUR 100 million in 1999 with a workforce of over 650. The details of the operation were not disclosed.
