Brussels, 17/04/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission (DG Competition) has once again been criticised by European trade unionists for failing to address the social impact of company mergers when judging their acceptability. Following the EMF (European Metalworkers' Federation, see EUROPE of 15 April), the European Trade Union Federation: Textile, Clothing and Leather (ETUF: TCL) has also reacted in anticipation of a forthcoming decision by the Commission on the public takeover bid...
