Parliament approves "Youth" programme

Strasbourg, 17/04/2000 (Agence Europe) - With the adoption of the report by German Social Democrat Lissy Gröner, the European Parliament approved the joint draft decision reached after "conciliation" with the Council, establishing the Community action programme "Youth". The EP stresses that the system adopted for the social protection of young people taking part in the programme represents substantial progress compared to the previous programmes.
