Commission refers to Court of Justice case of WestLB against Germany

Brussels, 12/04/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission decided refer to the European Court of Justice against Germany for not having recuperated the aid paid by a Land to the regional bank WestLB. Last 8 July, the Commission noted that Westdeutsche Landesbank Girozentral (WestLB) unduly received between 1992 and 1998 aid from the land of Northern Rhine Westphalia ad called on the German government to immediately recuperate a total of EUR 808 million.
