The British City law firm FRESHFIELDS is negotiating a merger with its German counterpart BRUCKHAUS WESTRICK HELLER LOEBER. Should the deal go through, it would enable the two partners to set up a network of 1,850 lawyers spread over 30 offices in 18 countries.
