European Commission and European Banking Federation denounce discrimination against European banks on American market

Brussels, 12/04/2000 (Agence Europe) - Joining the movement of the European Commission and national banking authorities, the Banking Federation of the European Union (FBE) has denounced the discriminatory treatment meted out on foreign banks by the United States' Federal Reserve in the framework of its rules for implementing the new American legislation on the modernisation of the financial services (Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act).
