Hearing of parties in case on tobacco advertising, immediate reaction from publishers of magazines

Luxembourg, 10/04/2000 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday 12 April, the European Court of Justice will hear the pleas in the "Germany versus European Parliament" and "Imperial Tobacco" cases, regarding the validity of the European directive of 6 July 1998 banning all forms of tobacco advertising. The "European Federation of Magazine Publishers" reacted to this announcement by stressing that, in its opinion, the cases go beyond the problem of tobacco advertising. It is the demarcation line...
