ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) gas

The French oil group TOTALFINAELF is to create with the Japanese trading company MARUBENI a joint enterprise for the construction of a natural gas-fired electricity generating plant in Thailand. The total cost of the project is estimated at $250 million. TOTALFINAELF and MARUBENI will each hold 28% of the shares of the joint venture created with the Thai partners for an overall capitalisation of $90 million.
