According to The Financial Times, the Swedish manufacturer VOLVO is on the point of concluding a strategic alliance with French RENAULT in the heavy vehicles sector. Under the terms of the agreement, the French group will give up its RENAULT VI industrial vehicle business to VOLVO in exchange for part of the latter's capital, which would make it a majority shareholder.
