The chairman of the board of BRANDT (Italian group EL.FI), Moïc Toulemonde, has said that his group hopes to merge with MOULINEX with "active assets" rather than through a public offering, according to the French daily Les Echos. Two weeks ago, EL.FI, which owns some 25% of MOULINEX capital, proposed to the latter an alliance with its French subsidiary BRANDT. See E.I. of 29 March.
