10/04/2000 (Agence Europe) - The Pasok party of the Prime Minister Costas Simitis just won the general elections on the 9 April in Greece, ahead of Nea Demokratia; the only other parties that broke the 3% barrier are the KKE (Communist party) and Synapismos (Left wing coalition). Mr. Simitis made a call to all Greeks to mobilise themselves for a modern Greece, strong and socially fair and one playing a leading part in the European Union.
