Brussels, 25/02/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Parliament Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Consumer Protection has invited the plenary session to vote, at the mid-March session in Strasbourg, in favour of the amendment to the 1973 "chocolate" directive that will allow all the Member States to authorise, in the manufacture of chocolate, the addition of vegetable fat other than cocoa butter up to a limit of 5% of the total weight of the finished product.
