25/02/2000 (Agence Europe) - At the request of Mr Cohn-Bendit, co-President of the EU/Turkey Parliamentary committee, the Council and the Commission will be making declarations on Turkey during the plenary in Strasbourg in March (from 13 to 17 March). Regarding postponement of the meeting of the Joint Committee, which was to have taken place this week in Ankara (see EUROPE of 23 February, p.8), Mr Cohn-Bendit and his Turkish counterpart exchanged letters exploring the possible solutions.
