Finland to reduce and gradually eliminate import restrictions for beer from the rest of the EU until they are finally abolished in 2004.

Brussels, 24/02/2000 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday the European Commission presented its proposals to allow Finland to progressively increase the amount of beer that can be imported duty free by individuals originating from other EU Member States. Finland, like two other Member States (Sweden and Denmark), has a monopoly system for retail sales of alcohol.
