ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) internet

The Swedish groups INFORMATION HIGHWAY (turnover 213.8 million SEK in 1999) and CONNECTA (turnover SEK 305.4 million in 1999) have announced their plan to merge. The operation, which amounts to SEK 16 billion, will create the third largest consultancy bureau by Internet, in Europe, with 1,200 employed. CONNECTA shareholders will hold a majority of the new group with 51% of the capital.
