Parliament calls for Leader programme to attach particular importance to the social dimension and the creation of jobs

Strasbourg, 18/02/2000 (Agence Europe) - With its adoption of the report by Giovanni Procacci on the European Commission's communication laying down guidelines for the Community initiative for rural development, the European Parliament reacted favourably to the redefinition of the Leader programme in the innovative form of Leader+.
