The Belgian manufacturer of aluminium sections APLIPLAST (expected turnover in 2000 of BEF 4 bn) has created a joint-venture in Egypt in partnership with the Egyptian family Mahmoud. Called EGYBEL-ALUMINIUM SYSTEMS, the company will start its activities with a capital of BEF 150 million and held to the tune of a third by ALIPLAST, and the remainder in the hands of its Egyptian partners. Its turnover should amount to between BEF 600 and 700 million within five years.
