According to the American press, the German media group BERTELSMANN is seeking to merge its musical activities with those of the Japanese SONY to counter the alliance between TIME WARNER and EMI. a merger between the two groups would, with a turnover of $10 bn, exceed the TIME WARNER-EMI combination.
