Brussels, 02/02/2000 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday, the European Commission adopted several decisions concerning State aid or mergers. It:
- Opened an inquiry into State aid from the Netherlands to manure treatment companies;
- Opened an inquiry into German aid paid to the Kvaerner Warnow Werft shipyard;
- Authorised German restructuring aid of EUR 1.5 million, granted to the manufacturer of industrial valves, Armaturen Technik Magdeburg.
- Authorised the creation of a joint undertaking between Chemag, Beiselen BayWa for the sale in Germany of fertiliser from Eastern European countries.
- Considered that the financial accompanying measures for "end of career management" contemplated by France do not constitute State aid.
