Commission proposes steel import trade restrictions against Moscow

Brussels, 27/01/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission forwarded a proposal on Thursday to Member States establishing a 20% reduction for the year 2000 in import quotas for certain steel products originating in Russia. The proposal for an ECSC decision must be submitted to the Council for assent and to the ECSC Consultative Committee.
