ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) banks

BELGOLAISE, the African subsidiary of BELGE FORTIS, has concluded an agreement for the takeover of 80% of BIAO-CI, Côte d'Ivoire's third largest bank, for an estimated USD 9 million. The remaining 20% will be quoted on the local stock exchange within three years.
