27/01/2000 (Agence Europe) - Following the political agreement reached in the session of the "Labour/Social affairs" Council of 29 November 1999, the Council has formally adopted the decision setting up the Committee on Employment. You may recall that this Committee, introduced by the Amsterdam Treaty will replace the current Committee on Employment and the Labour Market. See EUROPE of 1 December, p.9).
