ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) privatisations

- India: The Government of India has announced the forthcoming privatisation of INDIAN AIRLINES (26,000 passengers transported daily to 56 destinations), with 51% of the public share being sold. A 26% stake will be sold to a strategic partner and the remainder to employees, the public and financial institutions. No foreign airline will be allowed to buy shares in the firm.
