The French e-commerce operator INTEGRA (sales of EUR 15 million expected in 1999 with 320 employees) will be buying Norway's INFOSTREAM (turnover of around EUR 25 million in 1999) for NEK 2.2 billion. The transaction will consist of 80% shares, INTEGRA issuing 1.3 million new shares to this effect, and the remainder in cash. The acquisition constitutes "the biggest ever cross-border operation in Europe in the Internet sector".
