11/06/2026 (Agence Europe) – Seven organisations from the European railway sector (ALLRAIL, CER, ERFA, FEPORT, FTE, UIP and UIRR) called, on Thursday 11 June, for the proposal on the establishment of the ‘European Railway Platform’ (ERP) to be approved swiftly. It will have a role representing railway operators and other market players, in particular passenger and freight railway undertakings, service facility managers, competent authorities and other stakeholders directly involved in railway operations. On the occasion of the entry into force of the new regulation on the use of railway infrastructure capacity in the single European railway area (see EUROPE 13885/35), the authors of the statement stressed that the ERP “should become operational as quickly as possible, in order to ensure that the market is represented from the outset of the new governance process”.
