EU27 finalise general approach on draft Global Europe regulation

11/06/2026 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 10 June, the ambassadors of the Member States to the European Union (Coreper) welcomed a compromise proposal put forward by the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the EU on the draft Global Europe regulation, the pillar of European external action proposed for the 2028–2034 period (see EUROPE 13882/31). According to our information, the text is now stable and balanced for the EU27 with regard to the main political issues. However, Member States are still seeking to finalise their position on the issues of conditionality for migration of partner countries emergency cushion funding. (BD)
