11/03/2026 (Agence Europe) – In a press release on Monday 9 March, the European Commission announced that it will provide €16.3 million to fund 49 projects as part of the ‘MSCA and Citizens’ programme, which links researchers with schools and the general public across Europe to celebrate scientific achievements past, present and future. Two consecutive editions of European Researchers’ Night, in 2026 and 2027, will be organised, and ‘Researchers at Schools’ activities will be implemented for two years. The Research Executive Agency (ERA) received 241 applications for this call, 234 of which were deemed eligible. 49 were selected for funding, which is a success rate of 20.3%. The two flagship initiatives will take place in 40 countries across Europe and beyond. The first projects will start in spring 2026 at the earliest. (AD)
