EU Council and European Parliament reach several preliminary agreements on ‘end-of-life vehicles’ regulation

The EU Council and the European Parliament met for a second inter-institutional negotiating session (trilogue) concerning the end-of-life vehicles (ELV) regulation on Monday 24 November in Strasbourg. 

The revision of the regulation on circularity requirements applicable to vehicle design and end-of-life vehicle management should increase the circular economy’s share in the automotive sector, reducing its environmental footprint from production to the treatment of end-of-life vehicles...
