The European Parliament is contesting the European Commission’s withdrawal of the draft regulation on standard-essential patents (SEPs). On Tuesday 25 November, a majority of MEPs (334 in favour, 294 against, 11 abstentions) followed the lead of the Committee on Legal Affairs (JURI), which called for a referral to the Court of Justice of the EU (CJEU) (see EUROPE B13755A32).
