European Parliament approves agreement on Toy Safety Directive

25/11/2025 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 25 November, MEPs validated the final agreement reached in trilogue on the directive that ensures the safety of toys in the EU. This new legislation strengthens protection against harmful chemical substances by prohibiting the presence of certain endocrine disruptors, skin sensitisers and per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (known as PFAS).
