European Commission encourages whistleblowers to report potential abuses of AI systems

24/11/2025 (Agence Europe)On Monday 24 November, the European Commission made available a reporting tool integrated into the Artificial Intelligence Act, which should enable all suspected infringements to be reported to the AI Office. The tool incorporates an anonymisation system, using encryption and translation mechanisms, so that whistleblowers can provide their information in any European language. The tool focuses on breaches of the regulation that could jeopardise fundamental rights, public health or general confidence in the AI system (disinformation). Whistleblowers can also follow the progress of their reports without having to reveal their identity. With the introduction of this system, the AI Office hopes to be able to anticipate certain alerts and remedy them as early as possible. Link to the tool: https://aeur.eu/f/jm8 (IS)
