Greenpeace states that France, Spain, Belgium and Netherlands have spent more on Russian LNG than on support for Ukraine

30/09/2025 (Agence Europe) – In a report entitled ‘The LNG Trap’ (https://aeur.eu/f/iox), Greenpeace pointed out on Tuesday 30 September that from 2022 to June 2025, France, Spain, Belgium and the Netherlands, the four main importers of Russian liquefied natural gas (LNG), spent more on this gas (€34.3 billion) than on bilateral support for Ukraine (€21.2 billion).
