Appointment of two Deputy Directors-General within Directorates-General for European Statistics and Translation

30/09/2025 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 30 September, the European Commission announced the appointment of Athanasios Thanopoulos of Greece and Paul Morrin of Ireland as Deputy Director-General and Director respectively of the Directorate-General for European Statistics (Eurostat). Hungarian Ildikó Horváth has also been appointed Deputy Director General of the Directorate General for Translation (DGT). (MB)
