A European Commission study published on Friday 26 September reveals that health-related Social Transfers in-Kind (STiKs) significantly reduce income inequality and poverty in the European Union.
These transfers, which account for 35% of total social benefits, have a greater redistributive impact than cash benefits (excluding pensions) in half the Member States.
