European Parliament agrees to protection for travellers booking packages

The revision of the European directive governing package travel met with consensus in the plenary session of the European Parliament in Strasbourg on Wednesday 10 September. The bankruptcy of tour operator Thomas Cook and the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on tourism are still fresh in people’s minds.
