MEPs give green light to reform of cohesion funding to meet new challenges

On Wednesday 10 September in Strasbourg, the European Parliament approved the agreement reached with the EU Council on the mid-term review of cohesion policy in order to respond to new challenges (see EUROPE B13682A10).

The provisional agreement (https://aeur.eu/f/id4) was adopted with 440 votes in favour, 168 against and 52 abstentions, under the report by Dragoş Benea (S&D, Romanian).

The reform offers Member States and regions the opportunity to redirect funds towards new objectives:...
