On Tuesday 8 July, the Ecofin Council is expected to adopt without debate the revised post-Covid-19 national recovery plans of the following six Member States: Germany, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Ireland and the Czech Republic.
Submitted on Wednesday 2 July to the Member States’ ambassadors to the EU (Coreper) for approval, these plans have been modified in response to “objective circumstances”, generally because the countries concerned have found better alternatives to achieve an equivalent result, according to the European Commission. For Germany, four measures have been removed as unattainable, including hydrogen and digital cloud projects in conjunction with important projects of common European interest (IPCEI).
This includes 14 measures in the German plan, 18 measures in the Austrian plan, 13 measures in the Belgian plan, 15 measures in the Danish plan, 5 measures in the Irish plan and 83 measures in the Czech plan.
