On Tuesday 1 July, Denmark is officially taking over the Presidency of the EU Council. Following in the footsteps of Poland, which wanted its Presidency to focus on security, the Danish government has chosen two main priorities for its six months at the helm of the EU Council: a Europe that is “safer, including more rigorous management of migration to the EU and continued support for Ukraine” and a “competitive and green” Europe.
