Reunification of Cyprus - European Commission makes positive assessment of 2024 EU aid

In 2024, the number of authorised crossings between the Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot communities across the ‘Green Line’ in Cyprus reached an unprecedented 7.18 million, the European Commission announced on Tuesday 1 July. Also in 2024, the European Union allocated €39.4 million to improve living conditions in the Turkish Cypriot community, the highest level of funding since the programme was launched in 2006.
