02/06/2025 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 2 June, a European Commission spokeswoman gave assurances that the European Union’s humanitarian aid was not being distributed via the private organisation supported by Israel and the United States, the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF). The latter, which was set up last February and whose source of funding raises questions, has been supervising the distribution of aid in the enclave since the end of May. “We are monitoring the situation in Gaza very closely. (...) Last week, some trucks were allowed to go, but it was like a drop in the ocean. They still face obstacles and difficulties”, said the spokeswoman at a press conference. (BD)
