Several political groups in European Parliament welcome review of EU/Israel Association Agreement, but say it has come too late

On Wednesday 21 May, representatives of several political groups in the European Parliament welcomed the decision taken the previous day by the Council of the EU (see EUROPE B13644A1) to ask the European Commission to examine Israel’s compliance with Article 2 of the EU/Israel Association Agreement, but said that the decision is too late.
