MEPs call for EU action against cancer, cardiovascular disease and measles

During a debate at the European Parliament in Strasbourg on Thursday 8 May on EU action to treat and prevent diseases such as cancer, cardiovascular disease and measles, the European Commission confirmed that it would “evaluate and revise European legislation on tobacco to ensure that every cancer patient has access to high-quality diagnosis and treatment”.

Tilly Metz MEP (Greens/EFA, Luxembourgish) also called for an urgent review of EU tobacco legislation, including tax rules....
