On Friday 25 April, the Commission launched a call for contributions on the future prospects for research and technological development, with a view to drawing up a new ‘European Strategy on Research and Technology Infrastructures’.
This strategy should strengthen the sustainability, accessibility and efficiency of European research and technology infrastructures, with the aim of ensuring that researchers, innovators and industry in Europe have access to state-of-the-art facilities and services. These should support scientific and technological excellence and industrial competitiveness.
“Europe’s research and technology infrastructures are the foundation of our innovation ecosystem. We invite researchers, policymakers, industry leaders and all interested parties to share their insights and help shape the future of these infrastructures, to achieve EU prosperity and industrial leadership”, commented Ekaterina Zaharieva, European Commissioner for Startups, Research and Innovation.
The call for contributions will be open on the ‘Have Your Say’ portal until Thursday 22 May.
