03/04/2025 (Agence Europe) – The EU-Israel Joint Committee for Research and Innovation (R&I) met for the fourth time, according to a Commission press release published on Wednesday 2 April. It discussed Israel’s association with Horizon Europe, in particular research collaboration under Pillar II of the research programme, dedicated to global issues and European industrial competitiveness. They also reviewed the good cooperation within the framework of the European Innovation Council, the European Research Council, the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions and the European Institute of Technology. Under Horizon 2020, Israel participated in 1,694 projects, with 2,105 individual contributions, obtaining a total of €1.3 billion. In addition, through Horizon Europe, Israel has so far participated in 747 grants worth €831 million. (AD)
